U.S. Army, World War II. Professor of Economics, University of Colorado at Boulder. 1962-1967. Lecturer in economics, Warwick University, 1967-1969. Professor of Economics at Keele University, England, 1969-1987. Previously taught at Idaho State College, 1955-1958. PhD, University of California at Berkeley (1957; Thesis: Theories of the American Labor Movement). Publications included: Methodolgy for Projection of Occupational Trends in Denver Standard Metropolitan Statistical Area (1966); Reempolyment Experenices of Defense Workers: A Statistical Analysis of the Boeing, Martin, and Republic Layoffs (1969); The Interdependent Economy: An Inaugural Lecture in the University of Keele, 9th February 1970 (1970); and, The Multinational Company (1973). Professor Fishman emigrated to England in the 1960's in protest of American involvement in the Vietnam war. Prior to that, participated in teach-ins at the University of Colorado at Boulder along with Professors Richard B. Wilson (1922-1993) and W. Howard H. Higman (1915-1995). Professor Fishman was an ardent believer is socialsim, and, protested the loyalty oath at the University of California at Berkeley in the late 1940's and early 1950's.
