She emigrated to Utah with her husband, daughter Frances and son Joseph in the Daniel Thompson company in 1866. Her husband, Samuel, died on 29 Sep 1866 before entering the Salt Lake Valley and is buried at Wanship, Utah, at the mouth of Silver Creek Canyon.
