Alex Tribune, Alex, Grady Co., OK, Friday, October 30, 1925: "Death of Young Man - The death angel entered the home of R. L. Foster, Saturday night and took away the darling son, George, who had been sick only a few days. The funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Baptist church in Alex, attended by a large concourse of people. the simple, but touching sermon was delivered by C. A. Smith, pastor of the church. George was the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Foster, and was 15 years 6 months and 6 days old. He had spent most of his life near Alex, and made many friends who showed their love and sympathy during his illness and death. He leaves a father, mother, two brothers and four sisters, with other near relatives and friends to mourn his death. The remains were laid to rest in the Morris cemetery southeast of Alex. The pall bearers were: Troy Brashears, Bill Lansdowne, Delbert Lansdowne, Harvey Bucuanan, Edward Glover, Lloyd Stewart, and Clarence Steelman.

Broken hearted here we roam, Seeking for a better home, Where the circle shall united be for aye, In that city built above, We shall dwell in peace above. And our God shall wipe all tears away, God shall wipe all tears away, When we reach fair Heaven's shore, Without loved ones we shall stay, And rejoice forever more. A Friend."
