Haakinson, Beauford Ralph (Hatch) 82 of St. Petersburg passed away Nov. 6, 2008. He moved here in 1968 from his native Beloit, Wisconsin in his station wagon with the family and boat in tow. He served in the Navy in WWII. He retired from Publix after 17 years as a butcher. Mr. Haakinson is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Phyllis; six children, Doug Alderman (Cherly), Sammy Haakinson (Georgia), Brian Haakinson (Ana), Cindy Haulman (John), Robin Haakinson (Michael), Vicki Haakinson (Jeff Drum); 13 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and the beloved master of his best friend, Haak; one brother, Robert Haakinson; several nieces and nephews. Beauford's love for life will be missed by all. Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, Nov. 9 from 4 P.M. until service time at 6:30 P.M. Interment will be in Florida National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Hospice of the Florida Suncoast or the S.P.C.A.
