GEORGE WILSON WELLER
George Wilson Weller, 83, a retired farmer of Rehoboth, New Lexington Route 2, died at 9:50 p.m. Friday (Sept. 18) at Bethesda Hospital in Zanesville, where he had been a patient two days.
Mr. Weller was born Oct. 19, 1886 in Clayton Township, a son of Samuel F. and Harriet Elizabeth Wilson. He spent his life in the New Lexington area.
He was a member of the Rehoboth United Methodist church, Rehoboth Grange, of which he was a past master. He was an associate of the Perry County Insurance Company and was a Sunday school teacher for 50 years. He had served as Clayton Township trustee and for a number of years was president of the Clayton Township School Board.
Surviving are his widow, the former Ora Clayton; two brothers, Seward of New Lexington Route 2 and Franklin of Temple, Texas, several nieces and nephews.
The body was taken to the Roberts Funeral Home where friends may call after 2 p.m. today.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. Waunita White officiating. Burial will be in Rehoboth Cemetery.
