Mrs. Ida Castleman died Monday morning, May 5, at seven o'clock in the Ogdensburg city hospital where she was taken last week suffering from appendicitis. The funeral was held yesterday afternoon at two o'clock from the home of her brother, Ethan Allen, Rev. F. A. Miller, pastor of the Methodist church officiating. Interment in Pine Grove cemetery.
Ida Allen Castleman was born in the town of Louisville March 31, 1869, daughter of the late Aaron Allen. For the past few years she has resided in Massena. Besides her husband she is survived by one little daughter, seven years old and two brothers, Ethan and Henry Allen, of Louisville.
Her niece, Mrs. Lewis Schlosser, of Syracuse, came to attend the funeral.
