Bud's passions were the game of pool, paying darts, motorcycle riding and anything that kept him outdoors. He enjoyed coaching people in the art of pool or darts. He would often swear off pool when he lost a game, only to be there the next night to teach someone a special shot, or how to hold a cue. He was a proud member of the American Legion & The Fraternal Order of Eagles. Brough gave his youth to the United States. He served his country for over twenty-two years. He spent some time in the logging industry in Salmon and surrounding areas.
