Death Beckons Andrew Teslow
Sioux Falls Resident for 69 years succumbs to lingering illness
Andrew Teslow, 81, who came directly to Sioux Falls from Oslo, Norway, 69 years ago, died last night at this home, 1509 East Seventh St. He had been in failing health for a year and a half and had been confined to his bed since suffering a stroke about a year ago. He was employed at a local bakery until his retirement 10 years ago.
Mr. Teslow was born in what was then Christiania, Norway, on July 15, 1858. Coming to the United States, he rode into Sioux Falls on one of the first trains to come to this city, and was married here in 1896 to Sigrud Brendtro who survives.
He also leaves three sons, Harry and Bernard at home, and Palmer of 1313 East Fifth St, and three daughters, Mrs. Joe Walser of Mankato, Minn, and Mabel and Agnes Teslow at home. There are five grandchildren.
One daughter, Mrs. John Schuck, died in 1928.
The time and place for funeral services is indefinite as yet but the Banton-Peterson Funeral home is handling details.
Mr. Teslow was a member of the East Side Lutheran church.

Andrew died of a stroke and was buried on March 23, 1939.
