JENA — Funeral services for Norris Basco, 78, of Jena were to be at 3 p.m. today at East Jena Church of God with the Rev. Thomas Hickman officiating.
Burial was to be in Woodlawn Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home here.
Mr. Basco died early Tuesday morning at his residence after a brief illness.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Belle Basco, of Jena; two sons, Lonnie E. Basco of Jena, and Elmer E. Basco of Houston, Tex.; four brothers, Ambrose Basco of Delhi, Odia Basco of Flatwood, Himie [sic Hymie] Basco of Leesville and Excire [sic Ezie] Basco of Gorum; one sister, Mrs. Zille [sic Zillie] LaCaze of Natchitoches; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
