Stanley was born in Waco, Texas, to John Oliver and Della (Klawitter) Fleming. He married Frances Posey on May 28, 1960, in Waco, and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was in retail sales for Borden Milk for 20 years and Mrs. Bairds for 21 years. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Fleming, of Elm Mott; daughter, Rhonda "Toot" Schmidt and husband, Thomas, of Waco; son, Stanley Alvin "Bubba" Fleming Jr., of Elm Mott; grandson, Jonathan " Johnny Boy" Reyes; and many other extended family members.
