PFC Armand E. LeBlanc has been reported missing in action since May 31 in Italy, according to notification received from the war department by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Blair H. LeBlanc of 24 Amoitt St. He entered service on March 11, 1941 and received his training at Camp Langdon in Portsmouth, NH, Camp Edwards and Fort Dix, NJ. PFC LeBlanc has been serving Overseas for five Months

PFC A.E. LEBLANC KILLED IN ACTION ON ITALY FRONT

Amiot St. Man First Listed Missing Met Death on May 31st
Was in Anzio

PFC Armand E. Leblanc, 26, who was reported missing in action in Italy, June 26th, has been killed in action, according to word received by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Blair H. LeBlanc.

Notification was received by the war department last night stating that PFC LeBlanc was killed in action on May 31 in Italy.

PFC LeBlanc had been on overseas duty since Janaury of this year. He had seen action in different parts of Italy and mainly on the Anzio Beachhead.

He entered the service in November 1940 and received his training at Camp Edwards, Camp Langdon, Portsmouth, NH and at Ft. Dix, NJ.

PFC Armand E. LeBlanc

A requiem mass was celebrated for PFC Armand E. LeBlanc, son of Mr. and Mrs. Blair H. LeBlanc, 24 Amiott St., at St. Joseph's Church at 8 o'clock this morning. Rev. Albert L. Rosset, Pastor was the celebrant. Assisting him were Rev. Leo Bergeron as deacon and Rev. DeWitt Fortier as sub-deacon.

Among those attending were PVT Emory A. LeBlanc, Sgt. A.J. LeBlanc, and Ernest J. LeBlanc of the U.S. Navy, brothers of the deceased. Sgt. Paul J. Cadoury, Arthur J. LaBelle, representing Fitchburg Post AL and Joseph Cormier representing Fitchburg Chapter DAV.

Pvt. LeBlanc was killed in Action in Italy on May 31st.
