Dorothy Doss Tyler, 89, of Plainview, passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2008, in Plainview. Graveside funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, November 15, 2008, at Plainview Memorial Park with Brother Joe P. Weldon officiating. Services are under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.

Mrs. Tyler was born February 12, 1919, in Fort Worth, Texas to J.O. Doss and Eula Foster Doss. She married Cleave Tyler on October 12, 1940, in Chillicothe, Texas. She was a housewife, but she also worked at S & H Stamp Store and at Furr's Supermarket.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleave Tyler, a son, Dale Tyler, a grandson, Danny Tyler, a son-in-law, Jerry Smythe, her parents, two brothers and a sister.

She is survived by one daughter, Nancy Smythe of Plainview; one son, Rick Tyler & wife Diane of Wetumpka, Alabama; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
