Margaret "Miller" Morris

Margaret Miller was born 12 Jan 1835 Beaver County Pennsylvania and was the daughter of Hugh and Mary "Lockhart" Miller. She married William Morris in February of 1854 and they were blessed with a son, William McCague Morris born 28 Sep 1855 in Beaver County. In the fall of 1856 she moved with her husband and son to Lucas County, Iowa. In November of 1855 the Morris family was asked to care for Lucy Ellen Morris, who was a niece of William's. Lucy's mother (Frances A "Curtis" Morris) died when Lucy was 4 months of age. William and Margaret raised her until she married Simon Asbury Scott, 22 Jan 1885 in Lucas County. Margaret died 19 Feb 1907 at the age of 72 years in Russell, Lucas County, Iowa.
