Maude Marie Gibson Leonard, 98, died Wednesday December 2, 1998, in Ormond Beach, FL.

Born October 18, 1900, in Sunyside, Carbon County, Utah to Arthur E. and Adella Cowley Gibson. Married Erin H. Leonard, December 29, 1922, in Farmington, Davis County, Utah. She attended Price High School, Price, Utah, East High School asnd Henager Business College in Salt Lake City. She was a resident of Price for many years. She was a past president of the women's auxillary of the Price BPOE, Lodge 1550. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, the Literary League, Thursday Bridge, and DanceSante. She later moved to Salt Lake City and then to Daytona Beach, FL, in 1995. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter0day Saints. She taught Sunday School, served in Relief Society Presidencies, and worked in the Baptistry of the Salt Lake Temple for five years.

Survivors include on sister, Bessie Hanson, Salt Lake City, UT, three daughters, Nedra Monger, Fayetteville, NC, Nan Gibson, Vienna, VA and JoAnn Gibson, Daytona Beach, FL, a daughter-in-law, Mary Louise Leonard, Boise, ID, 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday December 8 1998, 10 a.m. at the Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary, 2350 East 1300 South. Interment: Price City Cemetery
