Last Friday morning the sad news of the death of Robt. Adams was hurled through the community. Mr. Adams had been troubled for several years with asthma, which finally ran into consumption, which caused his death.
He was born in Illinois being about 62 years old at the time of his death. He was one of the pioneer settlers of Merrick county. By his death the community loses one of its best citizens and the family a kind and affectionate husband and father. They sympathy of all is extended to the family and relatives in their time of deep sorrow. The funeral services were conducted at the Fairview church on Saturday, Rev. Rorach of Archer officiating, and the interment was in the Fairview cemetery.
