Eunice was born to Herman G. & Frances (Bowles) Loucks. She was baptised in the Mayview Christian Church, as a small child & always tried to live an honest Christian life. She received her education in Jewell County schools, & graduated from Jewell High School. She taught school several terms in Jewell & Mitchell Counties. As a student in school, she was fond of poetry, music & art.
On Mar. 26, 1916, she was united in marriage, in Mitchell County, to August Carl Remus. Two daughters were born to this union - Elaine A. & Clela L. They lived in Mitchell Co. after their marriage.
She was a kind & loving wife & mother, & no sacrifice was ever too great to make for the good of her family. She took great pride in her home & spent many hrs. working in her yard & flowers.
She departed this life at the hospital in Beloit, Ks., after an illness of several weeks that medicine & human hands could not heal. She had been failing in health for several years.
