Chico Enterprise-Record, Friday, January 25, 1991: "David Conger. Dayton -- A graveside funeral for David Allen Conger, 73, of Dayton, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, in the Dayton Cemetery. Conger died Thursday, Jan. 24, 1991, in his home. He was born Jan. 25, 1917, in Hermes, Colo., to Alfred and Jessie Conger. Reared and educated in Colorado, he came to Yuba City in 1937 and in 1943 moved to Nelson. On May 17, 1945, he married Daisy Willhoite and they lived in Durham. In 1971 they moved to Dayton. His wife died previously. Survivors include a niece, Joahn Carrol Sproule of Durham. The Rev. Jon Harvey of the Mid-Valley Baptist Church of Durham will preside at the service. Van Hook Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements."
