Cora Myrtle Bruce, 76, of King City died yesterday at a Salinas convalescent hospital.

She was a native of Kansas but lived most of her life in Crescent, Oklahoma, where she was a member of the First Methodist Church of Crescent, Okla. She had lived in the King City area four years, the past six months with her granddaughter, Mrs. Albert Burpo .

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry B. Bruce, and a son and a daughter; Clifford L. Bruce and Mrs. Ethna M. Harman.

Surviving her, in addition to her granddaughter with whom she lived, is a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Wilma) D. Byers, of Sacramento; two grandsons, Clifford A. Bruce of Colorado and Clifford L. Byers of Sacramento, and four great grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters; Mrs. Verle Franklin and Mrs. Idessa Armer of King City and Mrs. Ruth Campbell of Idaho; five brothers; Wayne, Carl, John and Cecil Blackmon, all of King City, and Russell Blackmon of Newberry, Calif; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Ree C. Grim Funeral Home in King City by Rev. Francis Mitchinson of Greenfield Community Methodist Church. Internment will be in King City District Cemetery.
