Floyd Dee Raines was born on August 17, 1926 in Prague, Oklahoma and departed this life on Monday, August 13, 2007 in Laughlin, Nevada at the age of 80.

Floyd, the son of Marvin Paul and Sofie Myrtle Manley Raines, was a life-long resident of the Paden area. He married Arleta "Maxine" Muncy on June 27, 1948. Floyd was a homebuilder and master craftsman responsible for the construction of many homes and businesses in Okfuskee and Lincoln counties.

His parents, three brothers and one sister preceded Floyd in death. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Arleta "Maxine" Raines; son, Terry Raines of Paden; daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry and Stuart Teague of Prague, Lynn and Shane Smith of Prague; sisters, Ruth VanCuren of Harrah, Paulyne and James Gibbs of Bogata, TX; grandchildren, Nikkita Kinnamon of Paden, Sabra Kinnamon of Paden; great-grandchildren, Maci Smith of Prague, Brandon Lee of Paden; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with Rev. Mike Raines officiating. Interment will follow at Paden Cemetery in Paden. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
