Molly “Nana” Hickey, 60, of Chillicothe, formerly of Columbus, went to be an angel Wednesday, November 5, 2008, at Adena Regional Medical Center following a courageous battle with cancer. Many thanks to all of the nurses and staff at Adena for your amazing support and care.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 10, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 61 S. Paint St., Chillicothe, with Rev. Charles Griffin, celebrant. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
Friends may call Sunday from 2-6 p.m. at Haller Funeral Home, where a wake service will be held at 6:00 p.m.
Molly was born December 23, 1947, in Columbus, to the late William J. and Susan M. Colbert Hickey.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Danielle S. (Bryan) Broom; "Nana's pride and joy" grandson, Kade Z. Broom; son, James W. McCray; sisters, Cecilia Ferguson, Judy (Bob) Litz, Theresa Morgan, and Patricia Walters; brothers, Thomas (Sue) Hickey and James (Marie) Hickey; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was predeceased by sisters, Eileen Morgan, Mary Rose Smales, and Margaret Edelblute; and brothers, Gerald, Daniel, Richard, Delmar, Charles, Kenneth, and Paul Hickey.
Molly was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School, Class of 1966. She worked as a Legal Assistant and had attended St. Mary Church.
