Cara Jo Roberts, 30, Harrisonville, died Nov. 5, 2008, at her home in Harrisonville.
She was born Sept. 28, 1978, in Kansas City, the daughter of Roger Lee Keefer and Theresa Diane (Frock) Matthews.
June 17, 2004, she married Jeffrey Allen Roberts in Playa del Carman, Mexico.
Mrs. Roberts was employed at an insurance company in the insurance contract and license department.
She was a member of the Sycamore Grove Mennonite Church near Garden City.
Mrs. Roberts was a 1996 graduate of Harrisonville High School and graduated from Central Missouri State University, Warrensburg, in December 2000 with a business administrative degree and a minor in marketing.
She enjoyed her family, especially her son, Carter, going shopping, camping, going to barbecues, and the Elk's Lodge, Harrisonville.
Mrs. Roberts was a life-long area resident.
Surviving are her husband, Jeff Roberts, and a son, Carter Roberts, all of the home; her parents, Roger and Vicky Keefer, Garden City, and Theresa and J.W. Matthews, Grain Valley; three sisters, Jessica Herrell, Harrisonville, Amy Butterfield, Olathe, Kan., and Cristy Adams, Overland Park, Kan.; a brother, Ken Hawkins, Waynesville; other relatives and many friends.
The honorary casket bearer was Virgil Keefer.
Casket bearers were Danny Roberts Jr., Darren Roberts, Mike Freeman, Kirk Wright, Jeremy Bourland and Matt Bohannon.
Services were Nov. 11 at the Harrisonville Mennonite Church, Harrisonville, with the Rev. Clifford Woolery and Pastor Keith Swartz officiating.
Burial was in the Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville, under the direction of the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Cara Keefer Roberts memorial fund.
