She was born Feb. 15, 1934, in Steele, Mo., daughter of the late William and Ruth Huffman Driskill.
On July 19, 1952, in Piggott, Ark., she married Frank Pierce. They had four daughters, Frankie Stewart, Sissy Phelps, Lisa Pierce and Billy Carter. They also had two sons, Danny Pierce and Michael Pierce. She had two sisters, Billie Cain and Melba Ridgeway and two brothers, James and Ralph Driskill.
She was of the Baptist faith.
