Garl Mieure, 86, Sumner, died Wednesday at 8 a.m. at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital, Lawrenceville.

He was a retired construction worker and farmer, and a member of the Union Chapel United Methodist Church.

He was born Feb. 10, 1892 in Lawrence County to John and Sarah A. Combs Mieure.

Surviving are his wife, Myrtle Ruby Mieure; sons, Hubert and John of Sumner, Harold of Robinson, Gerald of Gurnee, Eugene of Wellington, Nev., Otis of Antioch, Robert of Countrv Club Hills, and Donald of Findley, Ohio; daughters, Helen Grogan, Rt. 2, Sumner, Elsie Pelham, Rt. 3, Sumner, Ruby Kimmel, Sumner, and Lois Provines, Villa Grove; 29 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a brother, George, of Lawrenceville.

He was preceded in death by a son, Charles R.; two brothers; and two sisters.

Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Sivert Funeral Home, Sumner, with visitation from 6-9 p.m. Friday. The Revs. LaVerl Cook and Robert Fyffe will officiate. Burial will be in Bridgeport Cemetery.
