"Jack" LeFlore, 79, of Spiro, OK was called away on Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at his home. He was born June 24, 1929 in Bokoshe, OK and grew up in the Milton area. Jack retired from the United States Navy after 21 years of service as a Master Chief Petty Officer. Following his service, he returned to Milton where he worked as a construction foreman. He enjoyed his last years in Spiro where he was a member of Murry Spur Free Will Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, J.W. LeFlore and Ova Weaver-LeFlore and one sister, Aileene Aary. He is survived by his wife of almost 59 years, Isma Lou; two sons, Floyd E., Jr. of Glenpool, OK and John William of Spiro; eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Paul LeFlore of Bokoshe and Joe LeFlore of Tulsa, OK; two sisters, Wynona Monks and Janie LeFlore, both of Panama, OK; numerous extended family and friends. Jack's strong-willed spirit battled cancer for the last six years of his life. The most important things to him were loving and caring for his wife and family. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, November 14, 2008, at Murry Spur Free Will Baptist Church in Spiro with Pastor C.L. Thomas and Jack's grandson John Wesley officiating. Interment will follow service at Milton Cemetery. The family will meet and visit with friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday evening at Grace Manor Funeral Home in Poteau. Services under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home, Poteau, OK.
