Funeral services for Beatrice I. Anderson, 79, of Highland Road, RD 2, Massena, will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Donaldson Funeral Home in Massena, the Rev. Stanley E. Brown officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in Massena.
Mrs. Anderson died at 4:05 p.m. Sunday, April 4, 1982 at the Highland Nursing Home in Massena, where she had been a patient since April 24, 1981.
Surviving are two sons, Jay and Gerald Bombard, both of Massena; a daughter, Mrs. Beverly Ashley, of Massena; a sister, Mrs. Mildred Wolstenholme of Reno, Nev., a brother, Ivan Wright of Massena, seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Anderson was born Oct. 3, 1902 in Standish, NY, daughter of Burton and Catherine (Wilson) Wright. She was educated in Standish schools and a graduate of the LPN course at Massena Memorial Hospital.
Her first husband, Leon Bombard, died in 1948. She married Axel Anderson in 1952 in Scranton, Pa. He died May 3, 1957.
Mrs. Anderson was a licensed practical nurse at Massena Memorial Hospital, and also did private duty.
She was a former member of St. Lawrence Rebekah Lodge 348, a member of the Massena Senior Citizens, and affiliated with the First United Methodist Church in Massena.
