Trent Lewis Wilson was born December 24, 1978 in Ainsworth, to Linda Kovarik and Lewis Wilson. He started life in a hurry. as he was born two months early, and seemed to stay that way most of his life. He left us on October 22, 2005 as a result of a car train accident.

Trent spent the early years of his life in or near Burwell. At age 3 and a half, he moved with his mom and brother to Mullen where he spent most of his life. He went through school in Mullen, except for part of his junior year, when he was in Burwell. He graduated from Mullen High School in 1998. He attended Mid-Plains Community College in North Platte, Nebraska where he received his degree in Diesel Mechanics. This is where he met his wife, Melissa Robb. They were married September 29, 2001. They have two daughters, Trissa Rhonda Jo, age three and a half, and Cyndie Rae, age six months.

Trent worked in North Platte, Ogallala, and Oshkosh until he was able to fulfill his dream of returning to Mullen. Trent and his business partner, Josh Barnes, opened Mullen Auto and Diesel in January of 2004. In 2005, Trent and Josh received the Small Business of the Year Award.

Trent was a hard worker, wonderful husband and a great daddy. He was also a member of the Mullen Volunteer Fire Department. Trent will be remembered for his smile, and willingness to help anyone in need.

Survivors include his wife, Melissa (Robb), daughters Trissa and Cyndie all of Mullen; business partner Josh and Rawnie Barnes of Mullen; Mother, Linda Kovarik of Burwell; Bob Mandeville of Mullen; in-laws, Kern and Gary Gotemaker of Oshkosh, Mike and Bonnie Robb of Tryon; brothers, Travis and Dawn Kovarik of Kearney and Turner Sherman of Burwell; step brother Rob and Sandy Mandeville of North Platte, and step sister Lisa Mandeville of North Platte; sister-in-law, Desarae and Dell Schultheiss of North Platte; grandmothers, Daisy Ruddolph of Bassett, Dixie Dormann, Linda Dormann, and Dessie Redwine all of Oshkosh; nieces are Alyssa and Destiny of Kearney, Nicole Hardy, Alysa and Ryland Atkins all of North Platte; nephews Lane of Kearney and Preston of North Platte; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Trent was preceded in death by his father, Lewis Wilson, grandparents, Elson and Melrae Kovarik, Ron Dormann, an aunt, uncle, and a cousin Zane Long.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday October 26 at 10:00 am. at the Lariat Auditorium, in Mullen. Pastor Mike Maroney will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Mullen Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. at the Ash Hollow Cemetery in Lewellen. A memorial has been established to the family in care of P.O. Box 41, Mullen, NE, 69152.
