TERRE HAUTE INDIANA TRIBUNE OBITUARY – 08/16/1931 – BRAZIL, IN
Rufus W. James, well known farmer of Sugar Ridge Township, died at 7:30 o'clock this morning [August 16, 1931] at his home two miles east of Center Point after a protracted illness of complications, aged 69 years, 8 months, 25 days. The deceased is survived by the widow and two children, George James and Mrs. Nancy Frances, both at home. He is also survived by a brother and three sisters, B.O. James of near Center Point; Mrs. Levi Royce of Center Point; Mrs. Charles Crontz of Brazil, and Mrs. A.C. Scott of South Bend. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Monday after noon at Center Point. Interment in Center Point Cemetery.
