Louise A. Patchin, 83, of Eaton Township, passed away Friday, May 23, 2008 in Elyria Memorial Hospital, after a long illness. She was born June 25, 1924 in Polk, and had lived in Eaton Twp. most of her life.

She was a member of AmVets Post #32 in Elyria and enjoyed camping and traveling. She also enjoyed feeding birds and rabbits.

She is survived by her daughters, Sheila Shaffer of N. Eaton, Dawn Roig of Elyria, Lois Sayers of Elyria, Cindy Wilkins of N. Eaton; and by her son, Wayne Patchin of N. Eaton. Survivors also include 21 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and by her longtime friend and companion, Leo Lowther of N. Eaton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Orie Patchin in 1976; son, Russell "Butch" Patchin in 1980 and by her daughter, Valerie Millinder in 2003.

Friends may call Tuesday, May 27, 2008 from 5 to 8 P.M. in the Blackburn-Duke Funeral Home, 1021 Main St., Grafton, where funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at 1 PM. Pastor Jerry Harper of The Abundant Life Christian Church in Elyria will officiate. Burial will be in Butternut Ridge Cemetery, Eaton Twp.
