Pfc. Theron V. Hobbs of Albany, Georgia was a 2002 graduate of Monroe High and enlisted in the Army in 2007. He was a devoted family man who had faith in God and was a person that exhibited love and was very peaceful when he was in your environment. Theron attended U.S. 19 South Church of Christ. He was a United States Army Veteran. He and his wife Kimberly are expecting their first child in February 2009. In addition to his wife and unborn child he is survived by his parents, Mrs. Rachel Hobbs Smith and Mr. Darren Lewis, three brothers, Torey Hobbs, Darren Lewis, Jr., and Covernall Ponder, two sisters, Consuela Smith and Myriah Smith, his grandparents, Mrs. Gloria Hobbs and Mr. Charles Hobbs, Sr., and Mrs. Eloise Lewis and his in laws, Mrs. Patricia Brown and Mr. Terry Brown. Theron died at age 22 in a motor vehicle accident in Kirkuk, Iraq when he was repairing a vehicle when it rolled back and pinned him.
