B.F. Hartzog, a well-known resident of Willshire Township, died Tuesday last after an illness of only a few days. the deceased was the father of Mrs. Fred Voltz of this place.

B.F. Harzog, one of the well-known residents of Willshire Township, is dead after an illness of several weeks. The deceased, who has resided near Abanaki for several years, was one of the substantial citizens of the community. He is survived by several children, among whom is Rev. William B. Hartzog, pastor of the First Baptist Church, Tecumseh, Michigan; Rev. Hartzog was in Van Wert, Wednesday en route to the home of his father. The deceased was a Civil War veteran and was born and raised in Willshire Township. He was aged seventy-three years. Funeral services in charge of Rev. Strete at the home Thursday afternoon at two o'clock. Burial in the Smith Cemetery.
