GARLIN L. SELLERS
ELKTON - Garlin Luther Sellers, 41, of Rt. 1, Elkton died of an apparent heart attack Saturday afternoon. He was stricken at a shooting match in Shenandoah and was dead on arrival at Rockingham Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Sellers was an automobile and heavy machinery mechanic.
He was born Oct. 10, 1933 in Rockingham County and was a son of Roy E. and Annie Lam Sellers of Rt. 3, Elkton.
He was an Army veteran and a member of Avis O. Comer VFW Post and Shenandoah Moose Lodge.
On Aug. 5, 1966 he married the former Arimetha Lam, who survives.
Surviving, in addition to his wife and parents, are six sisters, Mrs. Susie Hensley, Mrs. Mildred Adams and Mrs. Jessie McDonaldson, all of Elkton, Mrs. Hazel Willi of Harrisonburg, Mrs. Pauline Waggy of Bridgewater and Jeanne Sellers of Dayton, and three brothers, Charles Sellers of Springfield, Norman Sellers of Elkton and Edwin Sellers of Charlottesville.
The funeral will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Lindsey Harrisonbrug Funeral Home by the Rev. Morgan Kinney and the Rev. Johnny Hensley. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in McGaheysville.
The body is at the Lindsey Harrisonburg Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends 7 - 8 p.m. today
