Mr. Gunter was a professor at Southwest Adventist University for 15 years. After retiring, he was a tour guide at the old Carroll County Courthouse Museum. He was also the Head Elder of Seventh Day Adventist Church. On June 1, 1952, he was united in marriage with Betty Louise Hopkins who survives him of the home. He is also survived by one son, David Lloyd Gunter of Flippin, Arkansas, three daughters, Kathleen Louise and her husband David Bruce Harriss of Glen Falls, New York, Karen Joyce and her husband Paul Randolph Owens of Amity, Arkansas, and Rebecca Carol and her husband Stephen Winfred Burton of Cave Springs, Arkansas, ten grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services will be at 11 AM on Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at Berryville Seventh Day Adventist Church with Pastor Jeff Wait and Pastor David Harriss officiating.
