Burial was at Park Cemetery on Sept 13, 1921 under the direction of Knell Und Co.

Additional Information: Her husband, George Rader, was the first man to settle in Carthage after the Civil War. He was born in Fairfield county, Ohio, in 1829. His father, Henry Rader, was a native of PA, and his mother, Nancy Black Rader, was a native of VA.
In 1860 he had enlisted and served as a soldier for 18 months and transferred to the commisary department, where he served until the end of the war. He was Postmaster of Carthage for thirteen years. He was elected Mayor of Carthage in 1879 and served a term in that office.
He died at his home in Carthage, Sept 8, 1886.
From his former marriage, he had two sons: Martin and John (both resided in St Louis).
His other children were Malcolm M (St. Louis), Mrs Georgia Osborn (Carthage) and Mrs Lydia Billings of Kingman Kansas.

Pioneer Carthage Woman Succumbs at Age of 84
Mrs. Emily A. Rader, pioneer Carthage woman, died at 9:30 o'clock last night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fred Osborn. She had been a semi-invalid for the last six years and had been bedfast two months, suffering from hardening of the arteries.
She was a woman of unusual intelligence and ability and retained her faculities to the last, being keenly interested in all affairs of public interest.
Emily Belt Rader were born in Newark, Ohio May 9, 1837, making her 84 years and 4 months of age. With her parents she moved to Green county, Wisconsin in 1842. For several years she attended the Evansville Seminary and later became a teacher.
With her father's family she came to Carthage in June 1867. Here she met and married George Rader, then postmaster, December 1, 1867. He was the first postmaster in Carthage after the war. Mr. Rader died in 1886.
Four children were born to them, two sons and two daughters. The sons have both passed away. The daughters are Mrs. D. Billings of McFarland, California and Mrs. Fred Osborn of this city.
Mrs. Rader was a member of the W.R.C. and of the Methodist Episcopal church which she attended regularly until her health failed. She united with the church at the age of 17 at Monroe, Wisconsin
The funeral was held at the Osborn residence, 411 South McGregor St.
