John H. Swiger was the son of Elias Jacob Swiger, Jr. and Mary (Robinson) Swiger. In 1901 he was married to Nettie B. LeMasters in Marion County, WV. They moved to Elkins WV in 1936. John and Nettie were parents to Roy Clinton Swiger, Clara Ellen (Swiger)Kerns, Goldie Elizabeth (Swiger) Rosencrance, Virginia Edith (Swiger) Channell, Allen Swiger, Elsie Mae (Swiger) Conley, Arden Leo Swiger, SR. John was a carpenter.
