Harvey J. Parker, 75, died April 6, 2007. He was born August 13, 1931 in Joseph, Utah to Ariel F. and Margaret Lott Parker. He married Mary Lee Staples Parker September 10, 1954 in Richfield, Utah. The marriage was solemnized September 10, 1996 in the Salt Lake Temple. She died May 21, 2005. Harvey served in the U.S. Coast Guard for three years. He was an iron-worker most of his life. He worked at the Geneva Steel Mill in Orem, and he helped build the Delta Power Plant and several mines in Wyoming. He was also a sheep rancher and enjoyed working with the youth in the Future Farmers of America and helped many win awards for their sheep. He was a high priest in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed serving as a temple ordinance worker.

Survivors include his children, Randall (Shelly), Riverton, Scott (Debbie), Modesto, CA, Pamela (John) Erickson, Denver, CO, Dane (Michelle), Orem, Dale (Rhonda), Salt Lake City; 23 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Norma Bell, Oregon. He was preceded by his wife; and great-granddaughter, Dashila.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, April 12th, 2007 in the Heatheridge 4th Ward chapel, 620 East Heather Road, Orem, Utah. Family and friends may call Wed-nesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 East 800 North, Orem, and Thursday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the services.
