Esther Susan Wheeler, 71, postmaster at Newhall, Iowa for 22 years, until 1956, died at Dallas, Texas Tuesday after a brief illness. Born December 5, 1885, she lived most of her life at Newhall and was affiliated with St. Paul's Catholic Church there. Surviving are two sons, the Rev. David Wheeler of Dubuque, Iowa and William Wheeler, Jr. of Dallas, Texas; a daughter Mrs. Vernon Boddicker of Phoenix, Arizona and two sisters, Marquerite King of Chicago and Mrs. AJ Wareham of Fort Worth, Texas.

Services: 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul's church, Newhall, by the Rev. David Wheeler. Burial: Cedar Memorial. Rosary: 8 p.m. Friday by Father Wheeler at the Teahen chapel, Cedar Rapids, where friends may call after 1 p.m. Friday.
