Thompson, Marquis W.
Retired farmer and former resident of Rt. 3 Warren, Marquis W. Thompson, 82, died at 4:15 a.m. Saturday in the Methodist Memorial Home, Warren, where he had been a resident since November 11, 1966. He had been in failing health for the last several years.

Mr. Thompson was born November 20, 1884, in Salamonie Township to Elijah P. and Lucy E. Chopson Thompson. He married Gertrude Huffman on December 21, 1910.

Surviving are the widow, resident of the Memorial Home; a daughter, Mrs. Clarence Kriegbaum, Warren; two grandchildren, Mrs. Stephen Beeler, Indianapolis, and George Kriegbaum, Warren; and a sister, Mrs. Ellen Huffman, resident of the Memorial Home at Warren.

Friends may call after 10 a.m. Sunday in the Butler Funeral Home, Warren where funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday with Rev. Albert Clarke officiating. Burial will be in the Thompson Cemetery, east of Warren.

Pallbearers were Meridith Helms, Richard Huffman, John Thompson, George Huffman, Clifford Ruble, and John Houtz. Burial was in the Thompson Cemetery, east of Warren.
