Coon Rapids Enterprise - Friday , December 26th, 1924 - Simon Walker, an old time resident of Coon Rapids, but who moved to Mystic, Iowa some years ago, where one of his daughters is living, died at Mystic, Sunday morning. His remains were brought to Coon Rapids Monday and interred in the Oakhill cemetery beside those of his wife who passed away some thirty years ago.
All old settlers will remember Sime Walker. He was a congenial man with a certain drollery of nature which made him always interesting. We believe at one time he owned a farm near Coon Rapids, at least in his earlier years. He followed farming here.
A year or so ago he had a stroke of paralysis which was followed recently by a second stroke from which he died though he was conscious all the time until the hour of his death sitting up much of the time until just before the end came.
