LINK, Talmadge E. "Tal," 84, died Sunday, September 10, 2006, at his beloved North Fork residence with all of his family members at his bedside. He was preceded in death by his in-laws, Victor M. Albritton and Queen Hunter Albritton, his father, Percy W. Link, and his mother, Clara Shearouse Link. Mr. Link was a lifetime resident of the Keysville area. He owned and operated Tal Link Trucking, Inc., until his retirement in 1982 and until his death he had a cattle operation at his North Fork L.A.B. Ranch. He was of the Baptist faith and served as a deacon for 44 years. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Dorothy Albritton Link; one special daughter, Sandra Link MacVane, and husband, Matthew, of Boca Raton, Fla.; three grandsons, Ian Lancer MacVane and wife, Cara, Adam Link MacVane and wife, Jaci, and Beau Chattan MacVane; and two great-granddaughters, Riley MacVane and Adalyn MacVane; all of the West Palm Beach area. Funeral services will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 16, 2006, at Beulah Baptist Church with the Rev. J.R. Gallups, the Rev. Barry Duncan, Dr. Albert Garner and the Rev. Charlie Thornton. Interment will follow at Beulah Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation two hours prior to service time at the church.

Born in Hawthorne on Feb. 20, 1922, he was a longtime resident of the area. He was the owner and operator of Tal Link Trucking Inc. He was a Baptist.Mr. Link is survived by his wife, Dorothy Albritton Link; daughter, Sandra Link, Boca Raton; three grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren.Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at Beulah Baptist Church, Lithia.
