Entered into eternal rest on February 26,2001, Steven LaVern Carrigg, age 36 Residence, North Charleston, S.C. The relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral services, Thursday afternoon in Rutledge Memorial Baptist Church at 2 o'clock. Interment, Bethany Cemetery. Friends may call at J. Henry Stuhr, Inc, West Ashley Chapel, Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 o'clock.
Mr. Carrigg was born in Charleston, a son of Glen LaVern Carrigg, Sr. And Betty Grimes Carrigg. He was a graduate of Charleston Southern University. Mr. Carrigg was a certified EMT and a fire fighter, a former member of North Charleston Police Cadets and the American Red Cross Disaster Services. He was an active member of Rutledge Memorial Baptist Church. He was also a member of Alpha Phi Omega, Charleston Baptist Association, church and community Ministries.
Surviving are his mother, Betty Grimes Carrigg of North Charleston, three sisters, Debra A. Wilson and Karen M. LeMatty, both of Charleston, and Shirley L. Carrigg of Summerville, S.C., four nieces and one nephew.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rutledge Memorial Baptist Church, Benevolent Fund, 2014 Bees Ferry Road, Charleston, S.C. 29414
