Daniel Laing, 60, Mer Rouge farmer, died in a Monroe hospital at an early hour this morning after a brief illness. The funeral will be held at the Methodist church in Mer Rouge at 1 p.m. Tuesday with interment in a cemetery there.

He leaves his widow and the following children:
Mrs. Florence McInturf
Mrs. May Butler
Miss Louise Laing
Miss Margaret Laing
Rufus Laing
Maxwell Laing
Fred Laing
All reside in Mer Rouge
