Otis was a life member to the following organizations: Moose Lodge 829, Front Royal, VA, American Legion Post 0053, Front Royal, VA, VFW Post 1860, Front Royal, VA, Fraternal Order of Eagles Post 4270, Ft. Myers, FL, Forty and Eight Local 790, Ft. Myers FL, B.P.O.E. 2742, Ft. Myers, FL, and the Amvets Post 81, Ft. Myers, FL.
Otis loved growing tomatoes, restoring old cars, going to car shows and traveling to see his friends and family.
Surviving are four children and one stepson: Eugene Martin, Dallas, TX, Dennis Martin and his wife Diane, Houston, TX, Jeffrey Martin, Jacksonville, FL, Jeri-lee Martin and her husband Richard Burke, Gilbertsville, PA, one stepson Corky Galloway, Dallas, TX; two sisters Elizabeth Sealock, Front Royal, VA, and Jean Melquist, Jackson, MS, along with numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at Panorama Memorial Gardens, 4917 Strasburg Road, Strasburg, VA at 11:00 on November 14, 2008. A memorial reception will follow at VFW Post 1860, Front Royal, VA.
