Martha Alice Robinson was born on April 10, 1918, in Mt. Moriah, Missouri, to Clarence and Mary Grace (Wooderson) Pickard. She came to Oklahoma with her parents and six brothers and sisters settling in a four-room house in Tonkawa. She grew up and attended Tonkawa Public Schools graduating in 1936. She married Clyde Reed Robinson on July 31, 1937, in McPherson, Kansas. Martha and Clyde shared a double wedding ceremony with her sister, Verla and Dale Bartley. Following their marriage they settled on a farm west of Tonkawa where they farmed the ground of Lida Mae Cobb and Samuel Hendershott. Her many days on the farm were spent cooking meals for harvest hands and hay baling crews and canning the many vegetables raised in their garden. In 1957 she began working for her sister, Zelpha, at the Campus Inn in Tonkawa, and from 1960 to 1962 worked at Moore's Dry Goods. As a part of the Pratt Center Community, she was a member of the Sunshine Home Demonstration Club. In 1986 they moved into Tonkawa to make their home. Her husband preceded her in death in 1989 and she continued to make Tonkawa her home. She was an accomplished seamstress sewing clothing for her children and winning many awards and honors in the Kay County Fair each fall. She also enjoyed knitting and completed aphgans for all her grandchildren. Martha also held membership in the Christian Life Church in Tonkawa and the Friendly Sunday School Class. She was active in orchestrating many funeral dinners held at the church from 1980 through 1998. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by a son, Bruce Robinson and wife Judy of Tonkawa; a daughter, Carolyn Willis and husband Jon of Edmond, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Kyle Robinson and wife Kerry of Tonkawa, Kelsey Smith and husband Neal of Tonkawa, Brent Willis of Edmond, Mark Willis and wife Tracy of Edmond, and Susan Roberts and husband Jim of Blackwell; great grandchildren, Ashley and Kyleigh Smith of Tonkawa, Colton, Carson and Kinadey Robinson of Tonkawa, Landon and Landry Willis of Edmond, and Vic Roberts of Blackwell; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She leaves her family knowing that their loss is heaven's gain for Proverbs 31 says, "Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies."
