June Southard Jelinek, age 67, of Knoxville, Tennessee, formerly of Washington, DC, Muncie, Indiana, Brecksville, Ohio, Lancaster, Ohio and Plainview, Arkansas, died, Sunday, August 22, 2004 at her home.

June was a member of First Baptist Church Concord, Farragut, Tennessee, and the Faithful Followers Sunday School Class. She was an inspiration to all who knew her. June started her career with the FBI in Washington, DC and later worked with a law firm in St. Louis, Missouri. She became a homemaker after her marrage on March 17, 1956. June was preceded in death by her mother, Lois Lofland Southard.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, James Jelinek; three sons, Dr. James Jelinek, Jr. of Great Falls, Virginia, Stanley Brian Jelinek and Timothy Jon Jelinek, both of Westerville, Ohio; grandchildren, James William Jelinek III and Andrew Yung Jelinek; her father, Willis M. Southard of Gravelly, Arkansas; a sister, Susan Southard Haas of North Little Rock, Arkansas; and many cousins.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:15 P. M., Tuesday at the Worship Center of First Baptist Concord. Funeral service, under the direction of Click Funeral Home of Farragut, Tennessee, will follow at 7:30 P. M., with Rev. Steve Peek and Mr. Lew Floyd officiating.

Graveside service and interment, under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville, will be 1 P. M., Thursday at Young Gravelly Cemetery in Gravelly, Arkansas, with Rev. Charlie Jones officiating.
