CALDWELL, Elder David, a minister of the Primitive Baptist Church, died at his home near Pleasant Hill in Talbot County last Saturday, the first of May, aged about fifty years; he was the son of Elder Creed Caldwell and was raised near the Sulphur Springs in this county; prior to the war he and his family moved to Arkansas but returned to Georgia several years ago; he had suffered from cancer of the face;
