*VICTIM OF THE 1857 MOUNTAIN MEADOWS MASSACRE*
The youngest son of Peter Huff and Saleta Ann Brown was born abt. 1851, probably in Dallas County, Missouri. According to his sister, Nancy Saphronia Huff's account, she said she "had a sister (Mary E.) that was nearly grown, and four brothers that they killed." This unknown son would be the fourth brother she mentions, her other three brothers (John, William C., and James K.) are known. Although this fourth son has been called Elisha, and his name appears on the 1990 Monumnent as same, there is no evidence to support this son's name as Elisha. All that is known is that he would have been around 6 years old at the time he died.
