Rev. Mr. Brashear was born Feb. 14, 1883(sic), (this was the marriage date) In 1894, he settled in Coryell County, and was one of the first justices of the peace in that section. He was ordained as a minister in the Baptist Chuch in 1904, and helped organize many churches in that area. He was also active as a farmer and rancher until 1918, when he retired from that activity. He retired from the ministry in 1940. In 1945 he moved to Temple. From obituary in Waco, thanks Slick!
