Married Henrietta Yost 12 Oct 1837 in Montgomery Co., OH and had nine children before moving to Rush Co., IN in 1848. There were five other chidren who died young. In 1879 at age 63 he moved to near Ables Spring, Kaufman Co., TX, along with three unmarried, adult sons (Perry, Charles and Cyrus). In 1881 he moved to Tisdale, Cowley Co., KS, with two of the sons. Charles had married in the interim. Sometime prior to 1889 they again moved to Wilson Co., KS.
