Cynthia Diane Dowling, 54, died Sunday, November 2, 2008, at Colonial Manor Nursing and Rehab Center.
Cynthia was born in Bamberg, S.C., on May 16, 1954, to the late Odell and Francis (Kirkland) Dowling. She was the stepdaughter of Mrs. Mary A. Dowling of York and granddaughter of Mrs. Olive Washington of Columbia.
Cynthia is also survived by her four sons, William Anthony Parker, Donald Raymond Parker, Joseph Christian Lawson, and Ivori Javis Dowling, all of York; four sisters, La'Verne Howard and Ruth Dowling, both of New York, and Vanessa Cussac and Stephanie Roland, both of York; four brothers, Lionel Dowling, Leroy Kirkland, Eric Dowling, and Brian Onley, all of York; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins, sisters-in-law, brothersin-law, and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Ivori Walker; grandson, Montrell C. Parker; and a granddaughter, Ishmael Parker.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being handled by Boulding Mortuary, Inc., 471 Madison Ave., York.
