Robert "Bobby" Kennedy, 76, died Monday, November 3, 2008, at Meadows Regional Hospital in Vidalia. The Tattnall County native and lifelong resident was the son of the late Olin Kennedy Sr. and Lizzie Monroe Kennedy. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and farmed with his father for many years.
He is survived by a sister-in-law, Edris Kennedy of Bellville; nephews, Gary Kennedy of Collins, Larry and Danny Kennedy both of Bellville, Charles Kennedy of Claxton, Norris and Billy George both of Deland, FL; a niece, Angie Hendrix of Claxton and several cousins.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 5, 2008, at Kennedy
Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel, with Rev. Gary Toole officiating. Burial followed in the Cedar Creek Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Gary Kennedy, Raymond Brown, Boonie Monroe, Michael Kennedy and Daniel Kennedy.
Kennedy Funeral Homes, Cobbtown Chapel, was in charge of arrangements.
